A Day of Prayer for Interdenominational Divine Healing Ministries (IDHM) on Friday 2nd March 2012 – The Team had a very successful day of prayer for IDHM on Friday 6th January. I felt that the Ministry was blessed by this day of prayer, so we have decided to have another day on Friday 2nd March from 09.00am – 12.00 midnight. Members of the team and members of the congregation will be free to pick any half hour during that period and pray for the Ministry in the comfort of your own homes.  You can book a half hour slot by phoning the Office  and saying which period you are going to cover in prayer.  I trust that as many as possible will be able to join us in this initiative. I know it will be a great blessing to the whole Ministry.  I am grateful to Bill Norris who once again has agreed to coordinate all the prayer. You can sign up for this event by telephoning the office or contacting Bill directly by e-mail at; bill.john.norris@gmail.com

Pastor David Hamilton – David Hamilton who has spoken for us on many occasions will be our speaker at the special service on Forgiveness in St. Anne’s Cathedral at 8.00pm on Monday 5th March 2012. As well as being a good speaker David has had to forgive many times in his life.  He will also speak at 1.00pm in St George’s when we will have lunch after the service. You will be very welcome at both of these services. For anyone who would like to better understand the subject of forgiveness we have two CD’s and two DVD’s available for purchase.

A Service of Re-Commitment – There will be a service of re-commitment for the team on Monday 12th March in St. Anne’s Cathedral at 8.00pm.  This will be an opportunity to thank the team for their faithful service and also to ask them to commit themselves to Minister for another year.  We hope that as well team members coming that night that as many as possible will also come to support and give thanks.

New CD Coming soon – Journey with Brother David Jardine.

A new CD presented by the Rev. Jim Rea will soon be released and will deal with Brother David’s early life in Banbridge, his time living on the Shankill Road with the Society of St. Francis in the 1970’s, his years as a Chaplain in Crumlin Road Prison and his three years in New York.  There will also be four hymns on the CD as well as important spiritual lessons which Brother David has learned throughout his lifetime. This CD will be launched on Monday 5th March at a cost £4.00

On Monday 14th May 2012 at 8.00pm in St. Anne’s Cathedral there will be a Service for those with Alzheimer’s. The speaker will be Niall Griffin from Rostrevor.

Team Members – A number of our team members are ill at this time and we would invite you to remember them in your prayers.

Doreen Adams, Doris Beckett, Muriel Briggs, Mary Duggan, Clare Gordon, Margaret Graham, Hilton Henry, Maud Howey, June Jordan, Canon Billy Lendrum, Sister Margaret McStay, Kitty Norwood, Maureen Simpson, Ella Taylor, Betty Thompson, and Alec Weir.

Also Iris Boyd, Jane Davidson, and Pat Matheson, in bereavement.

Our CD recommendation for February is the 4 Disc “Prayer Ministry Training Set”.  If you’ve ever wanted to know more about the Ministry of Divine Healing used in our services then these CD’s are definitely for you. In them Brother David Jardine explains in an easy to understand way, the various aspects of Prayer Ministry and how it is used for healing. There’s way too much information contained in these CD’s to cover in this short article and do them justice but I whole heartedly recommend them to anyone who has an interest in this subject and as I now know from personal experience, they also make an excellent refresher source for those of us who have undergone Brother David’s training course.  A wide selection of other CD’s and DVD’s are available for sale after our services.

Services in St. Peter’s Cathedral – The service at St. Peter’s on Wednesday 15th February 2012 went very well and we are delighted to be able to announce that the next service will be held on Wednesday 25th April at 7.00pm. Very shortly we will be able to give further information about the speakers and the theme.

The Service on Anxiety and Depression on Monday 20th February 2012 at St. Anne’s Cathedral was very good.  Dr Stephen Rogers delivered a wonderful sermon and Brother David has asked Dr Rogers to put this down on paper so we can produce a short leaflet covering its main points.

St Patricks Day Monday 19th March 2012 – Please note that there will be services at St Georges and St. Anne’s on this coming St Patrick’s Day.

Please remember all of these many and varied activities in your prayers.
